“Learn to like what doesn't cost much.
Learn to like reading, conversation, music.
Learn to like plain food, plain service, plain cooking.
Learn to like fields, trees, brooks, hiking, rowing, climbing hills.
Learn to like people, even though some of them may be different...different from you.
Learn to like to work and enjoy the satisfaction doing your job as well as it can be done.
Learn to like the song of birds, the companionship of dogs.
Learn to like gardening, puttering around the house, and fixing things.
Learn to like the sunrise and sunset, the beating of rain on the roof and windows, and the gentle fall of snow on a winter day.
Learn to keep your wants simple and refuse to be controlled by the likes and dislikes of others.”

Her music inspires me. Her voice gives me goosebumps. She's been my favorite church artist for sometime, and let me tell you, she will continue to be, for as long as I live. The latest release isn't exactly church music, but it's fun and lighthearted. Thats what I love. Greatest song? Whole Wide World. It makes me happy. It puts crazy ideas in my head. Like singing Prince at the top of my lungs, during a tremendous thunder storm. To cast my line in a beautiful pond with no fish, just to have an excuse for being at a beautiful place. To do cartwheels down a dirt road, in the blazing heat and not care about getting filthy. To hike a mountain. But never come back down. Mow a strangers lawn, and leave them a bottle of pretty bubbles to frolic through.
Strange? Probably. But different. Different in a good way. Need a new artist? Check her out. Also check out her song Small Enough. I dare you to keep the tears in. It's impossible.
