“Learn to like what doesn't cost much.
Learn to like reading, conversation, music.
Learn to like plain food, plain service, plain cooking.
Learn to like fields, trees, brooks, hiking, rowing, climbing hills.
Learn to like people, even though some of them may be different...different from you.
Learn to like to work and enjoy the satisfaction doing your job as well as it can be done.
Learn to like the song of birds, the companionship of dogs.
Learn to like gardening, puttering around the house, and fixing things.
Learn to like the sunrise and sunset, the beating of rain on the roof and windows, and the gentle fall of snow on a winter day.
Learn to keep your wants simple and refuse to be controlled by the likes and dislikes of others.”

Don't Make Me Go

Never in my life have I felt this peaceful. I have been fortunate enough for the past 4 days to be surrounded by a stunning beauty. The ability to walk 100 yards and be on the edge of endless water. Wiggle my toes in the chilling sand that is dotted with perfectly sculpted  rocks, and splattered with washed up seaweed. To breath in air that is so light and refreshing, it doesn't just fill my lungs, but it fills my heart. Fills it with something beyond a lot of peoples' comprehension: Peace.
I feel at peace because I know who I am, and where I'm going. Because I know where I came from, and I know that I am loved, not only by my acquaintances on earth, but by my Heavenly Parents, and my Brother Jesus Christ.
Created by them, the world around us is full of beauty that is so breathtaking, it makes me realize their immense power. The fact that they created endless worlds, or that they know the number of every grain of sand on every shore, proves that they obviously have enough power to know everyone of us by name. But they don't just match a name with our face, but a personality, strengths, weaknesses, potential, sorrows, and sins. And to me, that is absolutely amazing.

This is where I've been.
