“Learn to like what doesn't cost much.
Learn to like reading, conversation, music.
Learn to like plain food, plain service, plain cooking.
Learn to like fields, trees, brooks, hiking, rowing, climbing hills.
Learn to like people, even though some of them may be different...different from you.
Learn to like to work and enjoy the satisfaction doing your job as well as it can be done.
Learn to like the song of birds, the companionship of dogs.
Learn to like gardening, puttering around the house, and fixing things.
Learn to like the sunrise and sunset, the beating of rain on the roof and windows, and the gentle fall of snow on a winter day.
Learn to keep your wants simple and refuse to be controlled by the likes and dislikes of others.”

Happy Birthday, Dahling.
Today is a day worth celebrating. Because today, the greatest mom in the world was born. My mom. Of all of the things I love about my mom, what I love most is her passion. It's something from her that i've inherited, and I think will get me far. She feels very strongly about things that she believes and once that flame starts inside of her, it spreads like wild fire. Her testimony of the gospel, and of Jesus Christ have inspired me my whole life. I have a feeling it will continue to as I grow up. I know she'll have a strong impact on my future kiddles as well. Her funny personality, and warming smile attract people to her. She's a great mom, but she isn't perfect. That's why I love her. Because she's real. Not some fake, pretend person, who hides all of their struggles. I love my mom very much. Sometimes I don't act like it. I should more often. Not just on her birthday or on mother's day, but everyday. So here's to you Mom. Happy Birthday!
