“Learn to like what doesn't cost much.
Learn to like reading, conversation, music.
Learn to like plain food, plain service, plain cooking.
Learn to like fields, trees, brooks, hiking, rowing, climbing hills.
Learn to like people, even though some of them may be different...different from you.
Learn to like to work and enjoy the satisfaction doing your job as well as it can be done.
Learn to like the song of birds, the companionship of dogs.
Learn to like gardening, puttering around the house, and fixing things.
Learn to like the sunrise and sunset, the beating of rain on the roof and windows, and the gentle fall of snow on a winter day.
Learn to keep your wants simple and refuse to be controlled by the likes and dislikes of others.”

Sister Norton

Word on the street is that i'll have my mission call this Wednesday. To be quite honest, it's causing my quite a bit of anxiety...

By golly, I HAVE NO IDEA where they're going to send me. As selfish as it is, I pray they take into consideration the 6.5 years of German I've taken.... Ahem. Please be German speaking. I've been dying to go back ever since I boarded that plane in Zurich last May.

Amongst all the anxiety, there is, believe it or not, the greatest excitement burning inside me. I can't wait to be an official representative of Jesus Christ, and share his love and teach his gospel. It has brought me so much joy. I'm so excited to join the fight against that sneaky-snake Satan! For all I care, he can just die in a hole and SUCK IT. Because he's going to lose. And that makes me happy.

ALSO. Going on a mission and getting my endowments, is the perfect excuse to get new church clothes....

SHABAM. I think it's safe to say I love the whole idea of a new sister missionary wardrobe. Unless I go to a third world country, I hope this is what my wardrobe looks like. Thank goodness for Modcloth.com
